On Monday, I featured my choices for the 10 best cat products of 2020. It can be challenging to pick just one product out of the dozens I receive for review every year. This year’s choice was an unexpected surprise even for me! So, without further ado, my choice for Best Cat Product of 2020 is:

KittyWhip Cat Toys

I reviewed this toy in November. I almost declined when I first received the pitch to review a toy called KittyWhip. It just seemed like such an awful name for a cat toy. But once I took a look at the toys, I decided to accept – and I’m so glad I did.

At first glance, these toys don’t look like much. A string on a stick – how exciting could this possibly be? Well, let me cut to the chase: of all the wand toys we have in our home (and we have a lot of them,) few others have held Allegra’s interest like these.

Handcrafted in the USA from natural and sustainable materials, these toys feature a sturdy wooden wand. They come in three different versions: a thin cotton rope, a leather rope, and a thicker sisal rope. The design has a patent pending. They are extremely well made and have a nice hand feel to them. They also come in a “junior” version for small kittens.

Allegra has played with these toys every day ever since we received our samples six weeks ago. She still complains when I put the toys into the closet at the end of a play session.
